Greg Jeffries is a real estate agent in central Ohio who spends his weekends refinishing old wooden boats on a lake near his home. He started the hobby after selling a historic farmhouse to a retired carpenter, and now he restores vintage Chris-Craft and Lyman models from the 1950s and 60s. His brokerage colleagues sometimes joke that his listings always smell like marine varnish.
