Robocall Claims

I keep getting these automated calls claiming I've been approved for a loan or that my car warranty is about to expire. They're so persistent and always spoof a local number to trick me into picking up. It's a constant nuisance and I've heard they can be scams to get personal information. I'm thinking of registering for the Do Not Call list or just blocking unknown numbers.
